Maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary environment. Following child abuse and neglect procedures. Following Sudden Infant Death, Shaken Baby Syndrome, & CPR/AED/First Aid practices. Caring for minor injuries/illnesses & adhering to emergency procedures. Tracking child progress, documenting observations, analyzing child development, administering screening & assessment tools and communicating results. Identifying goals for the child and making necessary referrals. Promoting good nutrition & hygiene. Establish developmentally appropriate expectations & predictable routines and implement developmentally appropriate positive guidance strategies. Teach social/emotional skills. Develop lesson plans, incorporating teacher-directed group activities. Engage family by various means.
